Guildford Youth Ministry

Across the Guildford Catholic parishes of St Josephs, St Pius X, Merrow & St Mary's, Ryde’s Hill, we are passionate about our young people and providing them opportunities to develop their relationship with God in a fun and dynamic way.

GYM: Guildford Youth Ministry is the umbrella name for all youth ministry activities in the Guildford cluster Catholic parishes. There are 3 main activities that happen throughout the year: jGYM, GYM & DAMASCUS.

GYM provides faith formation that is age appropriate catering for all young people aged 10-18 or in school years 6-13.

Guildford Youth Ministry


jGYM is for all young people aged 10-13, school years 6-9, to meet, make friends and get to know their faith. Every Friday (term time), 6-8pm, St Joseph's Church Hall.

Every evening we have teaching, activities and games that aim to inspire and strengthen the young people's personal faith but also to strengthen their understanding of the Church.
GYM is for all young people aged 14-18, school years 10-13, to meet together & grow in faith in a safe space. Every Friday (term time), 8-10pm, St Joseph's Church Hall.

Every evening we provide a safe space for young people to ask questions and share with their peers their personal faith & life journey. Confirmation takes place as part of GYM.
DAMASCUS youth events are Christian weekend retreats specifically for young people organised by Guildford Youth Ministry.

We offer three events for three age groups:
- jDAMASCUS for 10-14's.
- DAMASCUS summer camp for 14-18's.
- Emerge for 18-25's.
